Mrs Folashade Ayeni is a 54-year-old mother of 3 diagnosed with a Chronic Kidney disease at the Gbagada general hospital in September 2020. Since 2020, her family has spent millions on different conservative treatments. Despite all efforts, her condition kept deteriorating. In March 2021, the doctors advised her to undergo a kidney transplant as soon as possible. The cost of the transplant and post surgery treatment is estimated to be 25 million Naira.
With no means to raise this amount of money, the family relies on the compassionate support of friends, families and well-wishers. A fundraising campaign began on March 27 2021 and will last till the fund is completely raised. As at press time, about 3.5 million Naira has been donated.
